The unexpected end is not of the referendum, it is actually of what the government wanted. The opposition was already in favour of a hard Brexit which is a tough path to choose. For the past so many years a nation is used to do trade by air cargo and sea cargo as well within set rules and regulations.
To get separated as an independent entity in trade without any helping hand will be an unwanted affair. But you have to swallow what you cooked with your own hands and the present situation is like this. There has been a second rejection of the exit plan and it has made the situation even worse.
PM Theresa May has asked for an extension till 30th June which is rejected and instead a time of three weeks to get the plan accepted is offered. But the parliament speaker has clearly rejected the vote on the same issue over and again without any changes.
The situation is going towards a hard Brexit which will make a major setback in the country’s trade until unless everything gets back on track which takes time. But the time has come and mismanagement or whatever, there has to be a path to follow now; a hard one or a simple one.
There have been attacks from both sides on each other for the failure of a Brexit deal. The opposition also offers which way to go for an alternative. The government has also taken that path in the recent session.
The things which everyone is forgetting that the referendum got successful with everyone’s consent and now there are words against it. But there is a strong reason behind it.
Government has concentrated more on getting the deals signed and agreements made with other countries and less on the final plan. When you want to do everything at one time there is the possibility of everything going wrong at the same time?
The main thing got ignored for the whole two years or so and no all of a sudden the PM want everyone agreed to everything. This is not a matter of agreement of one person and the others follow. They are intellectuals with their own thought and if Theresa May wanted to mould the opinions then attention should have been paid on this.
The roads are now crowded with people for the rejection of Brexit and in favour of a second referendum which is a big mishap for such a positive step.
India being a major partner of trade for UK and UK also have the same role in the Indian economy has to be careful with future choices. The way Brexit will happen decides which way India is going to go.
EU is important and so is the UK as both give India a bright future in the trade. But for now India is standing on a thin line and to go in favour of one will disturb the other in case a hard Brexit happens.
